Teen & Parent/Caregiver Skills Classes
We are excited to offer a Teen DBT comprehensive evidence-based program for teens (ages 13-18) and parents/caregivers.
This program includes separate skills classes for teens and parents/caregivers. Adolescent clients interested in joining the skills class must be in individual DBT therapy with a therapist in our network or a therapist that is currently attending a DBT consultation team and is willing to offer skills coaching to the client. At least one parent/caregiver must attend the weekly Parent/Caregiver Class.
The goal of the skills classes for teens and parents/caregivers are to help families learn new ways to regulate emotions, tolerate distress, build effective relationships, and live more mindfully.
Classes are open for new members at the beginning of every module, and the entire series of modules lasts for 26 weeks.
