    Module: Mindfulness

    Skills: Intro, States of Mind, What Skills

    Weekly Skills Practice: 

    • Diary Card

    • Start a daily mindfulness practice (maybe something you can use over the holidays).

    • Try at least 2 Wise Mind practices (can use Mindfulness Worksheet 3, page 83)

    • Practice Mindfulness of Others (page 184, 3x. Try to practice at least one activity from observe, describe, participate.

    • Try at least 2 Observe practices. (Can use Mindfulness Handout 4A, pp. 53-57

    • Participate in one activity mindfully. (Throw yourself in.)

    Weekly Skills Practice: 

    • Practice getting to wise mind, observing, describing and participating - each twice and record your practices on Mindfulness Worksheet 2A (page 79).  You can use Mindfulness Handouts 2-5c page 49-59 for ideas of practices you can try.

    • Write about a distressing situation this week, describing the facts and separating those from your thoughts and feelings in the situation.  For example: "I heard my friend talking to another coworker.  My thought is they are talking about me."
