    Skills: Radical Acceptance

    Weekly Skills Practice:

    • Complete Handout 18 once, and then also identify 2 other examples of how you practiced radical acceptance. 

    REMEMBER: No skills class on 12/24/2024 and 12/31/2024 due to Holidays. Please reach out to your individual therapist for skills coaching as needed during that time.

  • Class Date: December 18, 2024

    Module: Interpersonal Effectiveness

    Skills: GIVE

    Weekly Skills Practice: 

    • Diary Card

    • Ask for feedback from at least 1 person about your GIVE skills. 

    • Write at least 1 DEAR MAN and weave in GIVE. Can use Interpersonal effectiveness worksheet 4 or 5 (p. 174 or 175). 

    • Practice validating someone everyday (try validating something you disagree with). 

    REMEMBER: No skills class on 12/25/2024 due to the Holiday. AND the next class will be held on 1/2/2025 due to the New Year Holiday. Please reach out to your individual therapist for skills coaching as needed.

  • Class Date: December 18, 2024

    Module: Distress Tolerance

    Skills:  ACCEPTS, Self-Soothing with the Five Senses, IMPROVE the Moment

    Weekly Skills Practice: 

    • Diary Card: Despite no group on 12/25/24 and 1/1/25, please mark something daily on your diary card.

    • Using pages 381, 384, & 388 to write down your experiences, Practice the skills of ACCEPTS, Self Soothe,   & IMPROVE  Please try at minimum 2 each week.

    • Put together a Self Soothe kit and bring it to the group in 3 weeks.

  • Class Date: December 19, 2024

    Module: Distress Tolerance

    Skills: Pros/Cons & TIP

    Weekly Skills Practice: 

    • Diary Card

    • Practice 1 Crisis Survival skill each day even if you don’t have a crisis. Use pages 381, 384, or 388 to write down your experience with the practices OR on a sheet of paper write the date, what skill you practiced and how effective it was using a 1-5 scale.

      3) Put together a Self Soothe kit and bring it to share at our next class.
